Director of Imaging Technology

Overview:

MedVet Associates is currently seeking a Director of Imaging Technology to join our team.  The Director of Imaging Technology is responsible for assuring excellence in the practice of veterinary imaging across all MedVet facilities. The Director of Imaging Technology will nurture relationships and serve as a liaison between clinical teams and support services (particularly Operations and IT), and the incumbent will train and develop staff to ensure consistency in service delivery and processes.

This is a leadership position that works collaboratively with each level of the MedVet organization to improve and sustain our focus on evaluating, planning, and implementing delivery of best in class medical imaging services to MedVet patients in support of our mission – Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets.  The incumbent must have a strong sense of culture and the ability to influence behavior and effectively manage change.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of strong clinical background and knowledge of veterinary industry.
  • MRI and/or CT technologist certification strongly preferred.
  • Registered or licensed veterinary technician preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Project management and lean six sigma experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about PACS, DICOM, commonly used workstation software, and digital imaging parameters. 
  • Competent utilizing Microsoft Office programs including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to learn other industry-specific programs. 
  • Must have a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent training and communication skills.
  • A hands on, can-do attitude to solve issues.
  • Ability to provide excellent service to internal clients.
  • Ability to manage staff relationships.
  • Ability to cope with shifting priorities, difficult situations and deadlines.
  • Highly organized.
  • 25-50% travel required.
