Veterinary Hospital Director

We are seeking a Hospital Director in our New Orleans, LA practice.  This position works collaboratively with the medical leadership to provide general clinical and operational oversight for the practice.  The Hospital Director is responsible for all clinical aspects of the practice (Clinical Managers, technicians and aides). The Hospital Director works collaboratively with the Operations, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide practice oversight through continual and ongoing presence in clinical areas and collaboration with medical and administrative leadership.
  • Provides an environment that promotes the competency of employee.
  • Prepares, oversees and guarantees accurate and timely employees schedules, PTO approval, payroll and ongoing feedback and disciplinary follow through in collaboration with the Clinical Managers and Human Resources.

Education and/or Experience:

  • HS diploma required, BS/BA a plus.
  • Two or more years of Human Resources and/or administrative experience is required.
  • Prior experience with a veterinary care facility will be prioritized.
  • Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) encouraged.
  • Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician a plus.
