Technologist for Veterinary Specialty Hospital

MedVet NOLA is currently seeking a Certified MRI Technician to join our Neurology and Neurosurgery team. We are seeking individuals that are team oriented and have excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, clients and the referral community. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment and is dedicated to practicing the highest quality of veterinary care. The MRI technologist responsible for providing strong clinical and administrative support to the department. The individual is responsible for ensuring clients, patients and referral partners receive quality care. The position provides an opportunity to work with board certified specialists and the ability to learn about cutting-edge medicine.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to adapt skills to imagine veterinary patients
  • CT
  • Radiology
  • Perform high volume of MRI scans with limited supervision.
  • ​Troubleshoot and perform routine equipment checks.
  • Adhere to MRI safety protocols and QA guidelines.
  • Ensure patients receive quality care.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.

Along with a positive attitude and a high degree of energy, qualified candidates will be hard working, self-motivated, able to maintain harmonious relations with hospital staff, and have a sense of caring for animals, have the physical strength and stamina to lift approximately 50 pounds, walk dogs of up to 130 pounds, and work on feet all day.


  • ​ARRT or ARMRIT Certification preferred, but will train the right candidate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and work successfully as a team member and autonomously.
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.

Shift:  The position is full time.  Weekends, on-call and holidays based on needs of the department.
