Radiology Veterinary Assistant/Scheduling Coordinator - FT - 1st Shift

MedVet is currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in our Columbus hospital.  We are seeking an individual that is team oriented; thrives in a fast paced environment; and is dedicated to practicing the highest quality of veterinary care. The position provides an opportunity to work with board certified specialists and the ability to learn about cutting-edge veterinary medicine.

Schedule and coordinate all appointments and meetings, take all client and RDVM phone calls, and communicate all necessary information to the doctors and technicians.  Manage and coordinate the flow of the day.  This individual needs to have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.  They must have good follow thru and attention to detail even when very busy.  This person must be a self-motivated team player with a desire to form strong bonds with clients, patients and fellow team members.


  • Process radiograph consults
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answer phone calls from referral partners and clients
  • Patient restraint for ultrasounds, radiographs and procedures
  • Assisting coworkers with various tasks as needed
  • Perform digital radiograph imaging
  • Data entry in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Usage of Cornerstone for various departmental functions
  • Copy and Paste radiology reports from Word to Cornerstone
  • Downloading and managing images on eFilm


  • Prior client service experience required
  • Prior veterinary experience required
  • Experience with eFilm preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette
  • Self-motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team and autonomously
  • Sense of urgency
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Effective patient restraint
  • Proficient in basic calculations (drugs, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Flexible with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel)

Shift:  The position is full time, first shift.  Weekends, on-call and holidays based on needs of the department.
